Columbia County Emergency Management and its partners will be participating in various earthquake disaster exercises during the last week of April. Here's a schedule of exercises where people may see increased activity from emergency responders and others:
* Scappoose--Wednesday, April 28th between 9-11 AM. Fire and law enforcement responders will be exercising at Otto Petersen School. Traffic may be impacted on city streets near the school during this time period, but it should not impact US 30.
* St. Helens and Columbia City--Thursday, April 29th between 6:30-8:30 PM. Fire and law enforcement responders as well as Columbia City officials and amateur radio operators will be drilling at the St. Helens Fire Station and Columbia City Hall, respectfully.
