Winter weather advisory for higher elevations of Columbia County south and west of the US 30 corridor (including Vernonia, Mist and Birkenfeld areas) from 4 PM (1600) today through 5 AM (0500) tomorrow. Please travel carefully in these areas tonight and overnight.

5 AM PST WEDNESDAY ABOVE 1000 FEET FOR THE NORTH AND CENTRAL COAST
RANGE OF OREGON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PORTLAND HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY ABOVE 1000 FEET FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM PST WEDNESDAY.

* TIMING...THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT.

* ACCUMULATION/SNOW LEVELS...TWO TO FOUR INCHES BY EARLY WEDNESDAY
MORNING. LIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN THIS AFTERNOON. HEAVIER
ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR DURING THE EVENING...THEN SLOWLY
DECREASE OVERNIGHT. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL RISE FROM AROUND 1000
FEET TODAY TO AROUND 1500 FEET LATE TONIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
